When you rent online, they ask you to pick up the car, your passport, your driver's license and your bank card with the name of the person who rented the car, all good and well, but after you pay, when you get to pick up the rented and already paid car, you are asked for proof of address. I was honest and said that I have only been living at that address for 2 days, that I moved on the weekend and that I have no way of giving them proof of address from the new home because time is short and I didn't have time, everything is closed on Saturday and Sunday.
He said that in this case I can't pick up the car that I have already paid for, the guy there said call Car Jet to give you your money back, very rude. I called and was surprised, they are not giving me any more money, that is the policy and the contract, I paid an amount and lost it without benefiting from any service. I do not recommend this company! CJT-16495**** doesn't matter in the end what it says yes or no!
I was honest and said that I only moved 2 days ago but I reserved the car more than a week in advance, so what relevance is what you say. you should have refunded my money if I didn't benefit from any service, or taken into account the proof of previous address, one of the two options, not taken my money unfairly!

⭐ 1/5 – CarJet Ignores Complaints – Fake Customer Service PromisesI am updating my review because CarJet’s response on a different review website was completely misleading. Three days ago, they publicly asked me there to contact them, claiming they were happy to help.
However, after following up via email and clearly stating my case, they have ignored me again – just like they did before. Summary of my experience:I booked a sedan, but was given a hatchback with no option to change. This caused major inconvenience for my family as our luggage didn’t fit properly.CarJet’s partner company wrongfully charged me €700 instead of the agreed €100.CarJet ignored my emails for weeks until I publicly exposed them here as well.After their “please contact us” reply on a different review website, they ghosted me again.I have initiated a chargeback through my bank since CarJet refuses to take responsibility. Lesson learned:CarJet only responds publicly to look good on review websites, but once you contact them, they go silent.
This is not a trustworthy company. If you have a problem, expect zero support from them.⚠️ My advice: Avoid CarJet at all costs.

However, upon arrival, I was given a **hatchback with a significantly smaller trunk**, making it impossible to fit all our bags properly. When I questioned this, I was simply told that **there were no other cars available** no apology, no offer of a solution.
As if that wasnt bad enough, the real nightmare began when it came to **payment issues**. At pick-up, I was informed that a **800 deposit** would be blocked on my account, and after returning the car, **100 would be deducted for child seats, with the rest released**. However, instead of correctly deducting the 100, CarJets partner **unblocked the full 800 and then separately charged me 700!**
I immediately reported this to **CarJet** and was initially told they were "looking into it with the rental company (EURNET SLOVAKIA)".
After that, they simply **stopped responding** to my emails, leaving me completely in the dark about whether I would get my money back. **Key issues:**
- **Incorrect car category provided** no solution or compensation.
- **Unjustified 700 charge** no refund, no response from CarJet.
- **Customer service ignores complaints** no updates despite multiple follow-ups.
- **Zero accountability** No effort to resolve their mistakes.
I am now forced to escalate this through **consumer protection authorities** and my **bank's chargeback process**, as CarJet refuses to take responsibility.
**I strongly advise avoiding CarJet at all costs.** They do not care about customer service, do not honor their rental agreements, and will **leave you stranded** if anything goes wrong. Pay a little more for a reputable company its not worth the stress and financial risk!

We booked a hire car via Carjet for our trip to Croatia, ref CJT-121****** **/9 to 15/10/24.
The booking was allocated to a company called Street Rent a Car
1 The company we rented from is called Maxx Rent and not Street Rent a Car as indicated on our hire details
2 This company is not on airport, it is located approx. 5.7 kilometres from the Airport
The company did uplift us and transported us to their office within about 15 minutes. The other couple who were also booked with Maxx Rent werent so lucky as the Hire company came in a standard car which couldnt fit 2 large suitcases, the other couple had to wait until we got to the office and then the car returned for them (note, the other couple actually got this car as their rental).
In the office they made it clear that they didnt open until 8AM on the 15/10/24 (our return date to the UK). Our flight back to the UK was at 10.10 AM in *** Airport (located approx. 5.7 kilometres from the Car Hire office). They indicated that we would be lucky to make the flight if we returned the car at 8AM due to the time it would take to process the return and then drive us to the Airport.
We decided this was an unacceptable risk so we booked a room at a Hotel near the Airport (at a cost of £45) for Monday 14/10/24. We took the car back early on the 14/10/24 and went to the Hotel so we could ensure we got the flight the next morning (15/10/24).
II would like this amount refunded as if I had known that this rental office was so far away from the Airport I would have looked elsewhere and not booked this rental as it would make catching our flight difficult.
The company offer a half full fuel policy and not a Full to Full fuel" policy. This half full policy is one that I do not approve of as in my experience it can be very tricky to put in the correct amount of fuel before returning the car thus resulting in an additional charge. This policy should be reflected and made clear before the rental starts so that the customer can decide for themselves if they want to rent from a car hire firm that still employs tactics such as this.
The company charged me 87.50 euros for allowing cross borders travel I confirmed with you if there would be a charge for cross border travel, your reply was The car may be taken to the European Union countries for no extra charge.
I had to pay 87.50 euros extra for cross border travel despite me having it in writing that CarJet do not charge for this? We had a booking in Slovenia so had to pay this charge or we wouldnt have been able to travel.
Please that for reference Maxx Rent do not accompany their clients to inspect the car on collection instead they advise the customer to take photographs at the time and sent to the via whatsapp. I found this unsettling especially as the Car had not been cleaned which made it difficult if not impossible to check the car for any damage.
On the return however they check the car with a fine tooth comb.

The company canceled my car rental reservation. I arrived at 9:40 AM for a 10:00 AM booking today.
Upon my arrival, an Addcar employee informed me that I could not proceed with the rental because I only had a debit card, while only credit card was required for the security deposit.
I was not aware of this nuance.
The employee provided me with a document and instructed me to include it with my message to facilitate the refund process.

Hi,
This was my second time to rent a car from car jet and both of them was not very nice. First one I rent the car for 19:00pm and when i went to company to take the car, the office was close and i count take it.
İt was 2 days rent, and already it was canceled itself. I try to take my money back and its took 2 months to get it but in this time i don't remember how many calls and mails i send. Second time yesterday again i rent the car, and they gave me address to take the car, but the address was wrong and i found the Avis rent office, but they said they don't have car available. So again i didn't get the car.
I called the car jet, and they said they will contact with the company and get me back but no way. So be careful and do not use this web side.

We went to collect our car in the 23rd September the brought us a Yaris which didn't fit our 2 suitcases and the pram.So I said this is not big enough and is not what we ordered.I said we are going to need a bigger car,they then brought out a C4 we put our luggage in the boot but when we sat in the car the back windows wouldn't wind down.We had no alternative to cancel.I've never come across any problems like this with any other car company,the gentleman in the office was so rude and the gentleman showing us the car would not help us fit the child car.Alsi they had 5 childrens car seats and 4 of them was broken.Ive tried numerous times to phone movis,and emailing your company with no response you give me a full refund .

I couldn't get my car. I was 2 hours with the machine on Saturday, 1st February.
After that, I forgot my credit card at Malmö Airport and the next day, I went to the office on Sunday without a credit card. Now they say I need to contact you to get my refund.
And I did pay 12 days 600 for the car and 250 for taxis to go take the cars 2 times. That machine at the AirPort does not work!!!
